Well, I dont understand something...why didnt Aragorn fall to the ground like Pipin did? He actually did ... he slumped back sort of, but I think nothing really happened to him because he is more resistant to evil (having been trained) and more experienced towards things like that ... so I think that's why... and he didn't look directly into the Palantír, I don't think.

Well, he seemed to because the evenstar, the pendent of Arwen fell. He must have looked at it for its evil to take hold.

True to that ... but he's not as easily tempted and corrupted by the Palantír than most are.

So, what you are saying, is that a hobbit was overtaken by the palantir. However, yet a hobbit had enough will and strength to control the one ring when even a elf could not weild it before getting corupted. hmmm...(ponders)

It wasn't the same Hobbit who looked into the Palantir as the one who was bearing the Ring. And he wasn't controlling the Ring either

Well one more question, who has the other palantir. I know Sauron has one and Sauroman Had one...but where did the others go. I heard something about one in Valinor, but non in middle earth could see that one.

Well, I thought I read somewhere that there was one in Amon Hen, but that was just a rumor I heard.

There were seven ... from what I know, there were three in Amon Sûl, Osgiliath and Annúminas ... all three were destroyed or lost. The one in the Tower Hills was brought to Aman with Frodo and his the ship that brought him to Aman ... The Anor and Orthanc ones and maybe the one in Barad-dur still survived ... into the Fourth Age

I wonder where the Palentir came from originally. Who made them? Does anyone know?

They were brought from Numenor. I believe they were a gift from the Eldar to men. They were originally made by Feanor. Their original locations are: Emyn Beriad, Amon Sul, Annuminas, Minas Ithil, Minas Anor, Orthanc (Saruman's tower), and Osgiliath
Aragorn could control the stone more than the others because he was a Numenorian and it was his people who originally learned to control them- Well, sorta. Anybody can look in the stones and see the areas around the other stones- The Numenorians can make the stones show them whatever they want to see.
