lol, I didn't say that it wasn't. I'm fairly positive it was, but that doesn't make it impossible.

I can only agree with Anwyn on the spears-matter. It was actually, also according to the book, part of the plan to charge at sunrise to block the enemies view. You may have noticed most spears backed up when the sun hitted their eyes in the movie. About the horse thing, now that we know a little more about horse balance and such, do we now think this was not computer animated? It was, I was watching the special features and I remeber them saying the shot of them all coming down the hill together was computer generated, though the first shot of them just starting down was actually done with the real horses. Honestly, I can't even begin to put with words how dangerous it would be to have that many horses running down the hill together, it would just take one horse to nip or kick at another (becuase some horses cannot stand the presence of other horses) and it would have been an abseloute disaster. I used to do an event in some shows called "Hunter Pairs" which was a fun class, but basically what it was that two horses (With there riders of course!) would do a set course of fences, one after the other and then pair up to make the final fence which had been widened for that purpose together. It was so fun to watch if it was done right, The trick was to always put the slower horse in front so that way the one following would have to slow up or else you would never make the final fence as a pair. I was always in the rear with my mare fighting me the entire time becuase she wanted to over take the other horse, she wasn't bad...just very competetive! Even just having two horses move that close together was dangerous since I saw some people take a really bad fall after one horse took a nip at the others neck, causing the other to dive the other way and throw its rider. To have, I think in the book it said something like Eomer had gathered 500 riders to him by the time he returned, That would just be madness.

(please don't swear)
Go where?
But I completely agree. There's no way they could surrvive being packed together like that, let alone going down a hill of that size!
