Ever notice that in FotR, Haldir's appearance was more than a bit random? Not really random, but the Elves just appeared at their side, and even Legolas didn't notice...

haha! we all know he's excellent, haha! But how could they not see the Elves directly in front of them? the one that was in front of Gimli? wouln't the others have seen them? weird.

It's true. Elves have such keen senses. It's not like Legolas was taken by surprise. That scene made a bit of a fool out of him. HOW RUDE!

Haha, that's yet another thing I never noticed. I'm just beginning to notice what an unobservant person I am... but it's true, it was meant to only make a fool of Gimli, but when you think about it it makes them all look very foolish (and Haldir very skilled, which he is ) |

Yeah, they got very overly cautious in Lórien in those times. Also, they were assumably wearing Elven cloaks.

I know! They look so interesting.
It's still weird how even LEGOLAS couldn't see them coming ... how hard is it for an Elf to see a band of other Elves?
