IMO it's the greatest book i've ver read but then again it's the only book i've read Then you have chosen a hard book to read and I can imagine you won't do that twice... But I can assure you, when you would read the Hobbit or another 'easy' book, you'll love books! I have the Silmarillon and I still haven't finished it, allthough I have read many books from different writers. It's really hard to get through!

The best book I have ever read and I have already gone through two copies, tragic, grand, glorious, stern, . Just wonderful mythos, I prefer it to LOTR. I just swallowed it in one go, then read it again and again and again, he wrote it for me, I tell you!

Hmm yeah I've been hearing a lot of things about different copies. I wanted to know which one to get.

If I had to choose, I think I'd go with the last copy. Perhaps Tolkien made some adjustments to make it better, or changed things because they were 'wrong' in the first place. There has got to be a reason for the second copy.
