I used to be a fairly active member on the forum of Arwen Undomiel, untill every topic I posted was removed or moved for various reasons. Or it had already been done (6 years ago, how should I know), or it wasn't placed in the right category (then make the board easyer to read!). I have even seen topics moved by mods and then moved back by other mods... purrrlease!! mods mods mods.. and a board so big no one understands (not even by the mods).

But the other features the website has I still like to check out sometimes. They have a nice gallery for example.

I don't go to A-U for pictures... actually, I never check out the main site at all. I go to Moraya's LotR screencap site for pics when I'm making banners

I guess Arweb's non-screencap pics are pretty cool though.

Yeah, they are pretty nice, but i have multiple sites that i check out for screencaps. But once i get a good program on my computer, im going to delete most of my pictures, so then i can just source things back to just the movies. Arwen-Undomiel's forum is just so big. Some threads have over 10000 posts, its crazy. Or miss Haldir has 15000 posts *dies from the thought of post-tasticness*

Oh... yeahhh... but their forum has been online for quite a while and the webmaster has taken every Tolkien-related category available, and shoved it into her forum. I don't mind much though... I like owning a nice, small and cozy forum.

I can agree with that, Haldir. I've browsed A-U's forums before, but the number of useless posts always bugs me. Too many one word posts... off topic conversations... you have to wade through things to find what you want. There's very little discussion, for a place with so many posts. It's a bunch of people agreeing with eachother over and over again. A side effect of being a popular forum, I think.

That's an understatement! Ha ha, I once wandered into a thread that someone had posted their RPG character in... (normally you'd expect each of those threads to be A THE MOST two pages or so, right?)... and it was over 80 pages long! I was so astounded that not ONE mod noticed it or decided to stop that earlier! So I actually had to PM a mod with the link just to inform them. 80-something pages of off-topic conversation in an RPG character thread? I think that they have poor management. It also took them about 2 months to actually pay attention to my request to change my custom member title.

It can be very fun there, if you're looking for randomness and fun, but not if you're looking for serious and even slightly more educated discussions... *blink*

I almost think they should replace the inactive mods. Now dont get me wrong that Kit is always on, but i never here responces from those mods, and it seems no one is looking over the forum anymore.

Or get rid of them! They have about twenty mods! Does a forum really need that many? About half of them are inactive and the forum is still getting on nicely without them!

Her Mods, I suppose. She does go on, but she doesn't post or anything.

Oh don't even get me started on the mods. I go on occassionally. They have good RPs, which is really the only reason I go on. Kitoky personally despises me.
