Whoever lives in the Netherlands (Eya?? *pokeprodstab*), there's an Elf Fantasy Fair happening at Castle de Haar in April 19th and 20th of next year. It's like a Renaissance Faire, but way huger. *moves to Holland*

This is a yearly event in the Netherlands. We also have Castlefest every year, a Tolkien Shop and a Tolkien Museum... err you were coming to the Netherlands soon, weren't you?

That's SO cool.... I don't think Toronto has Tolkien events... I'd paid my first round for the trip, but then my mother withdrew it because she thinks that traveling too much during school will effect my education... (I'm going to France in March). You know, I would have preferred visiting the Netherlands rather than France, since we already have a French province in our country, but my mother wanted me to see Vimy Ridge and Flanders Fields. Silly mum.

^UGH I know! It's so bloody annoying!
I would love to travel Europe. The farthest I've ever been is to New York. Not that New York wasn't fascinating...I'm planning to move to England during highschool and live with some relatives there.
As for faires, there's the Royal Medieval fair in Toronto, and then there's the medieval festival in Hamilton, and the one in Waterloo...Anyway, no Tolkien elves, anyway. That bit is a bit more than disappointing.

^I don't know about the Royal Medieval Fair (REALLY?? *faint*), but there's an annual one at Casa Loma every summer in Toronto... the old castle. It's great fun, I worked there during the last one. I was going to work at the one in Waterloo too, but it sort of clashed with school.
Speaking of Europe, I get to travel 'round Europe at the end of March next year (Belgium, Holland, France). W00t.

Yeah, and it's illegal to employ a minor during school-hours *scowls* I went to the one in Hamilton. It wasn't bad, but the duel scene was rather fake as there was a TV show being filmed there that day and so they totally let the girl that they were filming win. It was rather sad. There was this scrawny little thirteen-year-old that knocked over this 200 pound man with a fake kick. I was like, "Riiiiight...keep dreaming." lol.
When I first read the title for this thread, I thought it said Elf Fantasy Hair in Holland! ROFL XD I was like, "What? Maybe they'd give you an elven wig! Or a hair makeover so that it'd look Elven!" I would fly all the way to Holland for that, regardless of the language barrier or cost.

Yes the current currency in the Netherlands is Euros indeed. It's the most common one in the European Union, except for Great Brittain.. they still holding on to their pounds.
