I though this might be kind of fun. Here's a few to start out with.
-Never underestimate a hobbit.
-Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger.
-If you have a very important message to deliver, you should probably just do it yourself, instead of giving it to a fat old innkeeper who only remembers his own name because people shout it at him all day.
Anyone else?

When being persued by Nazgul a) don't be carrying the One Ring b) Try to lead them to the nearest river which can be used against them by some-one with power. c) Carry Lembas - everywhere. d) If you are said carrier of the One Ring, offer unselfishly to dispose of it, and then suggest politely that you have been thinking, and wouldn't it be really much quicker and more sensible, to ask if a couple of the Great Eagles could just fly you there and get rid of it, thereby saving a lot of time, effort and angst. When you say this, add that you are sure some-one else much wiser than you would have reached this conclusion eventually. d) Believe in the power of loyatly and nobility. e) ( for the ladies ) Marry some-one like Sam, he will be faithful, look after your garden, do DIY, and can also cook.

*Don't trust anything or anyone in a loin cloth that talks to itself
*Dark tunnels are not your friend
*Elves can defy all rules of physics (Thank you very much Peter Jackson!)
*If you find a Dragon, you may just find treasure
*A wizard arrives precisely when he means too
*They have a cave troll, and you do not.
*Don't delve too deeply into the mines of Moria
*Don't fall in with a bad pack of Orcs travelling across the Westfold, It may just be the last thing you do.
*Always wear a mithril vest
*Don't follow the lights
*Do not take home stray jewllery
*Lastly, and most importantly, No matter how dark things get, They will get better again, you cannot loose hope in yourself or your friends.

*Never ever pass from the realm of Lady of The Wood since she could really go mad * If you see Bilbo anywhere, be sure to adhere to him so you would live your greatest adventure ever * Never betray the friendship of Saruman * Never calls elves to make a close combat otherwise they are dying so easily * If you fight, you have to learn to count at least till 35 * Never ever put the ring on your finger even though it seems so charming

* Never betray the friendship of Saruman Ahh if Gandalf didn't, then Middle-earth could have been destroyed so I have to disagree with that. * Never calls elves to make a close combat otherwise they are dying so easily really?

The ladies I know say '' Oh, Sam, '' Lol. Frodo's too astetic, Legolas too restless, Aragorn too many kingly duties, Gimli would be more fond of his axe, meat and malt beer, Merry and Pippin would be big times flirts, Boromir er... to dead, possibly, but Sam is loyal and dependable.
I do not agree about the elves dying easily, Elves are stronger ( although they might not look it ) and faster than mortals with much better senses of vision, and hearing and probably smell too.

- Short cuts make long delays.
- The shortest distance between two points always has an inn somewhere along the way.
- It's never a bad time for a beer, a meal, or a smoke!
- Never enter a dark place without a flashlight.

^All very good points.
-Never EVER mingle with those who have dual personalities...unsavoury results can ensue. -Always make sure you have your sword -Do not walk into a tunnel that stinks -lf you are a wizard, or a person of height, always make sure to duck when entering a hobbit hole

-Go not to the elves for council, for they will say both no and yes.
-Do NOT drop and/or push anything into a dark pit in Moria, as it will awaken a Balrog. And we all know how much they need beauty sleep.

*grin* Thanks, I've got quite a few.
-Don't demolish a forest that is known to contain Ents, as they are frightening when angry.
