In this it is obviously stated that Arwen and Elrond did not part on well terms... Since no one knew what they spoke about there is only speculation, but what do you think their last conversation was about?

I think it means that their parting was bitter ... like they were upset and sad to leave each other because they'd never see each other again.
Hmm ... maybe their last convo was about .... *sigh* I have no idea, I'll put some thought into it.

Well, remember that Elrond really wished Arwen to go to the undying lands. The fact that she disobeyed her father and stayed for Aragorn may have triggered a 'term of anger'. So, by leaving on bitter terms may suggest that he was still disappointed that she chose to stay with her love that sail away with her family. Comes to show that 'love is thicker than blood'

Hmm I was thinking the same thing! (I love your Arwen banner, by the way!) I think it was bitter in the sense that they were upset and distraught to be parting rather than their actual conversation making their parting bitter.

But I think in the end, the reconsiled because he looked really happy on his way to Valinor in the movie, course they really didnt show dislike between the two! *I like your arwen pic too!*

Yes, I agree. It's an older form of English. It means they were bitter in heart- heart broken sorta.
As far as the conversation... probably lots of weepy goodbyes.

On the other hand, I think they would have parted on not angry term but there will have been a bitter note. I think Elrond will be sorrowful to leave his daughter in middle earth and Arwen unhappy her father must leave but He woul drealise that she loves Aragorn and that he is a worthy bloe, as He said " I will no let Arwen Evenstar marry anyone less than the king of Both Gondor and Arnor" He set teh conditions and I spose he felt kinda bound to let them be fulfilled. So I spose that he isnt angry just sad to haver to leave her. Whatcha think of thsi?
