Could that sound be the elves? Ticking their bows to the trees in order to communicate? Or clicking their tongues perhaps for similar reasons? I don't think it's the elves...The chimes-type sound I think was actually part of the soundtrack--it's on my version, anyway, in the same timeframe. (Will have to figure out the name of the track; it's in my visor-thing, so the case is long gone.) And (can't remember where I read it...multiple places, methinks) the elves used birdcalls and such to communicate, I thought. I seem to remember it being stated somewhere that their mimicry was so perfect that even the animals couldn't tell the difference. The water sounds like a creek to me. And they would've been moving just about parallel to the Celebrant/Silverlode...which, granted, is a bit bigger than a stream...maybe an eensy tributary that's not marked? Actually, some of the rivers around where I live are slow enough that they don't make more noise than that...'Course, I'm only hearing them at a distance of 100+ feet or more, usually. Meh... *shrugs* That's all I've got.

It's in the song called Lothlorien, the fourteenth on the track. LOL sad thought it is that I have that memorized, it's true.
Better that what I've come up with.

UGH Stupid spammers. I would delete it, but the mod settings don't allow the mod accounts to do anything right now except access the staff boards.

Thanks, Haldir. It was all I could think of that had flamey connotations.
Somehow, I really doubted 'Fluffy' the Balrog would've instilled fear in spammers everywhere.

Well we could re-name the mod account and turn her into a balrog, since this board's pretty much a little hangout of ours now... and nobody new comes on. *snicker*

(hey Lasseg nice job making it to 1,000 posts!)
Speaking of Balrogs I did a lot of research on them to see if there was more than one and if they were all firery. Turns out there was one named Gothmog who was even equal to Sauron and he killed....... Glorifindel? Anyway he was just shadow, minus the flame and he was really freaky looking and he killed like all the elf leaders... he pwned. And he was actually lord of the balrogs and a person by the name of "Ecthlion" wink, wink actually killed him and they actually both succumbed to their wounds.
