Has anyone read it yet? I'm almost finished, and I think it's an excellent book. My favourite character has to be Beleg... I was so distraught when he died by accident.

I haven't read it yet. I haven't had enough money yet to go out and buy it. But Beleg was one of my favourite characters in the Silmarillion.
How does it compare to The Silmarillion and LotR?

I actually got Natalie to borrow it from your school's library for me... so you could probably do that once I return it, if there aren't any more copies It's pretty much written exactly the same as the story Of Túrin Turambar in the Sil... just way longer and more detailed. It's far less brief. It's also an easier read than the Silmarillion, though maybe not LotR. I'll give a better opinion when I'm done reading it, but yeah... I think it's worth reading.

I haven't yet. I got a few more books of the Histories of Middle Earth to read. I want to save this one for last. That's if I get a chance to read it. It does not stay on the public library's shelf very long. According to the card catalong, they've got a couple of copies, but as soon as they are back, they are gone again.

There should be some way to hold books, so that you can pick them up when they come back. It might be pretty long though, I don't know. I haven't bothered checking my public library. I'm too scared to see the late fees that are on my card.

XD Silly!
alexeiiii... you can get it from your school's library though, I'm finished reading it. ;D
The end... was actually sad. I know we've all read the story in the Sil already, but poor Húrin... everyone dies at the end, except him.
