Hmm I thought you knew most of the basic stuff off the top of your head.
Anyway....
Carry on!

Hmm I thought you knew most of the basic stuff off the top of your head. Anyway.... Carry on! Egads, I'm totally confused now. So...am I wrong about Aragorn's only claim to elvish blood being from his descendence from Elros, or is Master Yoda right about Gilraen being an elf? I thought something that big would've stuck out at me when I read it, but I guess it's possible I could've missed it; I'm certainly no expert, being new to the bookverse...

Gilraen's not an Elf! She's a Dúnedan.. a Ranger.

Oh, thank Eru. I was freaking out, wondering how on earth I could've possibly missed something that big.
*whaps Master Yoda again, just on general principle*

I voted for the Vanyar because I felt sorry for them.

*sniffle* They were the wisest of the Elves, the most powerful, and they never were involved in anything like Kinslaying or ignoring the Valar to settle in a spot just because it had a waterfall. And what does it get them? To be forgotten by us! *weeps ad naseum*

But still they are accounted as the greatest and wisest of the Eldalië as thought of Tolkien.
