It says everywhere an admin or mod will never ask you for your password. Were you banner after you gave it to them? In that case, you were hacked yourself I'm afraid. Yeah, I know they don't that's why I wondered why they asked. I thought there was something fishy about it. I can being nearly 4am in the morning and me being half asleep was my downfall and didn't fully see what was going on. Me and my stupidity and computer retardation. Do you have sreenshots of these PM's? Is there anyway we can go after this user? I do not. All I remember was it saying something like, "You have been suspected of hacking other Gaians acccounts. If you do not hand over your username and password within 24 hours, your account will be banned." Or something of that nature, I cannot remember every word. I sent them a message back saying that they must have had made a mistake or something and that I have done no such thing. Then they sent another back saying something like, "We still need your username and password to confirm this, if you are not willing to comply, then you account will be banned." Or something like that. Do you remember the screen name of the person who asked for your username and password? I hate to say I cannot remember the name. I never really looked. The title "Admin Message" was the only thing that really caught my attention. All I remember that is was a female avatar. Like I said, I was half asleep when this was taking place. Too bad I don't have CodeWarrior anymore. I'd just love to send the arse a nice, destructive virus. lol You're a sweet one aren't you XD There might be a slight possibility to gain access to your account again, if we explain it to the management. But that'll take months! And your stuff will not be retreived I'm afraid. If you decide to try either that or create a new account, I'm sure we can help you getting started again. That's very thoughtfull and all but I do not think I will return even if I did get my account back. 1. I really don't want to start over from scratch. New name and all that stuff. I don't want a new name anyway, because I most likely will not be able to be Mrs Haldir again. 2. It's obvious that Gaia does not keep track of hackers that could be on the site, therefore, they do not seem to be protecting their members accounts. It could happen to another person. I have lost faith in the site. It would take a hell of alot for them to gain my trust back. 3. I have been hacked before and I normally do not return to places where I have been hacked. I love the site and would love to go back I just don't believe I should. I've had my YIM Messanger hacked before too and I rarely ever use it now, even though I've got new name for it, I will rarely go on for that reason. I mean, can you really be sure you will not become a victim again? No. |

I can see how you feel betrayed. But I can also understand the management of the website. They give so much warnings about giving passwords... Soooo perhaps you're not really hacked, just very much abused. Which is bad enough as well.
I'd hate to see you start from scrap. This could happen to anyone of us. That's why I would like you to make another account and let us help you getting started. try *Mrs Haldir* or Haldir's luvah or whatever.. Just tell us your new name when you are ready.

Who really knows. The person is currently going unpunished right now anyway.  I've been targeted innocently for various crap on sites before so I guess it's nothing new. The whole returning thing, I may have to sleep on that one and decide tomorrow or something. |

What the bloody hell is up with that??? That is really messed... people like that are so low. But yeah, you should report it; Gaia should be able to track IPs.
We'll definitely help you out if you decide to make a new account, though.

Well, I personally cannot report it since I cannot get into my account no longer. Grr...I'm still pretty angry about the whole thing especially since this is now the second time I've been hacked.
Thanks, I'll think about it though. I have no idea what I'll be able to pick for a name. I cannot be Mrs Haldir again because it's an 'already in use hacked account' so I have don't know what I will do. Unless I can just register as something else then change it since you are able to do that.

I can't reregister because my e-mail is taken due to the fact that my old account still exists. I am not creating a new e-mail or bringing back one I do not use anymore just for that. >_> *sigh* Well, it looks like I will not get back in unless my old account gets deleted.

'Cept without much actual hacking. Which is sort've sad when I think about it. It used to take so much more effort to screw people over.

There are some thing left but nothing important. It's just little things I really do not need. Like I no longer have any clothes to put on my avatar and no gold to buy anything. And I had 40,000 before I went shopping and it when down 20,000.
