What was your most heart breaking scene?
For me it was when Aragorn took the sword from the little boy in Helm's Deep and told him: "There's always hope." That boy was acting very good also I think.

Mine was when Haldir's head got cloven open. I couldn't stop crying for a few days (I am so pathetic)

The Two Towers, Between Theoden and Gandalf with Theoden talking about "A parent should never have to bury there child" Its so subtle, he is trying to hard to stand and then his shoulders start to shake and he sinks to his knees, It gets me everytime.

I think the most saddest part ever is when Arwen Cries. I cryed at that part in the theaters. *Chokes up*

The Two Towers, Between Theoden and Gandalf with Theoden talking about "A parent should never have to bury there child" I have to agree that for me this is the most heart breaking scene.

Elrond talking to Arwen - that is taken from the Appendices, and he does it really well. Otherwise, it is Theodyn, my mother always says that '' no parent should have to bury their child. ''

I honestly have no idea, There are so many heart-breaking parts in LOTR...There are like 4 or 5 deaths, and just alot of sad parts in general.

I also have to add that in the extended version of ROTK when Eomer finds Eowyn on the field, at the time he presumes her dead and in the book he shouts "Eowyn, Eowyn! How come you here? What madness or devilry is this? Death, death, death! Death take us all!" Pretty dramatic but in the movie there was no dialogue, you just see Eomer scream and through his helmet down as he races towards her, and then cradles her as he basically howls, Its prety hard to watch. It was very well done IMO.

Yes, it is good, much better in the book, but very well done, you can see his horror and grief.
