Please don't get me wrong on this: I love Eowyn as a character and as a warrior and I am so glad she is in the books! She completely made up for the lack of female characters for me! But, however... I think she treated Faramir like crap the first days after they met in the House of Healing. She's 24, how could she be so naïve about Aragorn? Was this the same woman that killed a Nazgul?? Was this the same woman that endured two big battles? (Helm's Deep, Pelenor Fields... correct me if I forgot to mention another).

Well, on the one hand: She was in love with Aragorn, people in love often do something stupid. On the other hand: I don't like it either how she treated Faramir the first time they met.

Why thank you! I am the official picture provider on this other site. Telpeath's, incidentally.

It was stupid ... and Faramir was too nice to her! Well I guess it's true that people in love can do very crazy things without realising it, until they're out of love. It applies totally to Eowyn, even though she knows she has no chance with Aragorn... ah well, I think she and Faramir make a better couple than she and Aragorn would...

I agree with the love thing. And, on another note, this may be part of what makes them a great couple. They complete each other. Éowyn is the battle-ready, rather aggressive one (she isn't so sad after she and Faramir come together), and Faramir is the kind, peacful one.
One of my favourite Faramir quotes is, "War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend: the city of the Men of Numenor; and I would have her loved for her memory, her ancientry, her beauty, and her present wisdom. Not feared, save as men may fear the dignity of a man, old and wise." It shows his character perfectly.

Faramir ... I just love him ... he is the sweetest most loving person *sigh* And opposites do attract ... even if it's only first impression personalities.

I agree. Faramir is sweet and loving and seeks to be loved in return. But Eowyn is rather raw, slow to trust and feels she can surrvive without affection. Until she meets Aragorn. Then her feelings change but she is still very hard on the outside. Faramir is very soft on the outside.

Too bad his own father couldn't see that.

Yeah. It was a real horrible thing the way Denethor treated Faramir. I was almost glad when he died.

^ That's right Mil! I felt relieved also. Í'm sure Faramir didn't want his father to die, he is simply too kind to think that. But I think it's good he could have a fresh start.

Does anyone know if Eowyn and Faramir had any children?

Yes, they did! I think they just had a son, who took over Faramirs positions, which include Prince of Ilithilian and something else!!!LOL!!! But yeh, they had children but I think they only had 1, which was a son
If you were wondering, I have been doing my research for my website, so I know all about him, Galadriel, Arwen, and Aragorn!
