Okay, which way to the 'Tolkien Purist Tribe'? Excuse me for my rant, but when I watched the Extended Edition, I got all excited about the elven rope part with Sam and Galadriel. But then that box fell and Frodo caught it. Ofcourse I read the scouring of the Shire and I was like: "Oh boy, you better not loose that!" I expected it was the box Galadriel gave Sam with the Mallorn seed. But when Frodo opens the box it was just salt... SALT! That was very cruel of PJ I think!

PJ is always cruel! He made the story a bit meaner than how it's supposed to be ... even other things.

Hehe, no worries ;D It's suppposed to be the Mallorn seed Sam usd to make the Shire look good again (he's a gardener) after the scouring of the Shire.

Well I don't mean to sound arugementative but in the copy I have, it called it salt. Page 330 The Two Towers: ...in a flat wooden box a dwindling treasure, some salt. It was published by Baltimore books in case you were wondering.

But I do not recall Galadriël's gifts being given in the Two Towers at all ;D Check your Fellowship book.. Is there any mention of the Fellowship leaving Lothlorien?

Oh I thought you meant that scene when the box falls from Sam's backpack in TTT and Frodo catches it, and then he looses his grip and falls. Um...yeah I'll check my FOTR book.
