We watched Fellowship one time. My whole class stared at me when Legoals rides up into Rivendell. It was rather embarssing.

LOL yeah ... I can imagine that, Mil ;D
thank god I never got to watch FotR or TTT with any of my classes. Firstly, it would be rather awkward, because everyone knows me as Haldir and I'm a girl ... Craig Parker isn't. Secondly, when Haldir dies, everyone would purposely laugh and I'd cry a river. Not very appropriate *sighs*

I know. I watched it at my church one time and when that same scene came, I stood on my chair and started clapping and whistling. It was outrageously entertaining!

I've watched it two times out of my house. TTT at a fellow lotr fanatics house and FOTR at a youth group gathering, I got to play Evenstar and Rohan music on the piano before the movie started ;D.

We watched a clip from FOTR at a youth retreat several years ago. We were talking about the importance of fellowship, and so they showed the clip of the Council of Elrond. Actually, what got me on to LOTR was seeing it at my friend, a LOTR obsesser's house. She used to pause it frequently to explain what was going on, which in hindsight is rather amusing because I am now more schooled in LOTR than she is!
