Yeah at first I was like ... who the heck do those eyes belong to? when Galadriel's eyes flashed through Frodo's mind ... and they made her seem more evil in the movie; in the book, I didn't really imagine her so ... well ... wooden.

Yes, I think they casted Cate very good. I had no image of Galadriel really. She was always a very mysterious blur for me. I might get you wrong, Haldir, but you imagined Galadriel more or less wooden?

Hmm I don't really know what you mean, but I did imagine her to have a bit more expression when I read the books.

She seemed very...ancient...almost. The way she moved and spoke, very stately. Exactly the way I would imagine an elf would be.

Well, I read the books long before the movies came out, so I already knew who she was. My first thought was "She's not as pretty as Galadriel is supposed to be." But she looks better in various scenes.
