Allthough the Professor did a good job creating Arda, with languages, Maps and stories. But do you think there should be something added or removed from Middle-eath to make it a better place?

Nah. Tolkien didn't like the mixing of mythologies. Unicorns are sort of from a different set. I think one thing though, is that he had animals talk in the Hobbit, and once in the Fellowship, but other than the eagles he didn't keep up with it. I think it shoulda been one way or the other. But I like it how it is anyway.

I wonder what Shelob would say if she was given a voice

Shelob would probably admit to having a secret weakness against rolled up newspapers...
All that aside the only things I can think of changing right now would be all the contradicting history flying around. Tolkien never got around to finishing all of it, and that's too bad. I guess that sort of goes along with Luthien's point, but when dealing with the Hobbit it probably has to do with it being meant for a younger audience as well. That thrush was pretty cool though.

Shelob would probably admit to having a secret weakness against rolled up newspapers... *snort* kudos to that, alexei Huh, I think Middle-earth is perfect the way Tolkien left it, really.. It might be because I'm used to it, I don't know .. but I know I'd be pretty shocked to see a Unicorn come into the story.

Tolkien created the most perfound and most visual land in World History. There is no other that could match his enthusiasm and understanding of middle earth. I couldnt even imagine something to be changed because the way he wrote it fits in with everything else he wrote. Aldding unicorns would just ruin the story!

Alright, so no extra additions in the fantasy-creature form.
How about electronic devices? Just to make life easier.

Heh, maybe if I lived in Middle-Earth I could go for electronic devices and a few power plants to go along with them. Since I'm just reading about it though I prefer to see the Fellowship struggle along without microwaves.

I wouldnt like electronics, even though I would go crazy without my computer. Really, it wouldnt have been the same experience with electronics.
Although, the story would have really changed if Gandalf and Frodo rode an eagle to mount doom!!!

Yeah they are ... they're the things that keep up the electricity really.
